The Grill House. 1071 32nd St, Allegan, Michigan
(269) 686-9192

If you love Steak, this is your place.

I love this place. You pick out your cut of meat from their vast showcase, THEN. You walk over the their red hot grills and enjoy being the chef. There is thick Texas toast bread to lather with butter, sprinkle on garlic powder and throw on the grill while you’re steak is cooking. Included sides are baked potato with butter, sour cream, grated cheese, freshly diced green onion, baked beans, grilled onions, and spices. The meal comes with a garden salad. .
There are additional sides such as portobello mushrooms and mixed vegetables .
If you don’t want to cook your meal, the restaurant will have one of their chefs cook for you.
The restaurant has a separate menu if you want sandwiches, salads, or entree.
There is a full bar available.
We always cook our own dinner, as its so much fun to cook your steak, toast the bread and talk and have fun doing it.
During the summer months the outside seating in their swinging picnic tables is a blast. Yes I said swinging tables. The whole table with seats and awning swing back n forth… You gotta try it.

5 stars. Enjoy…..

The Butler Restaurant. Home of the Butler Burger.
40 Butler Street Saugatuck, Michigan 49453

We drove over to show a good friend from California the town of Saugatuck. It was 2:45pm in the afternoon so we stopped in at The Butler for a late lunch.
Our waitress was Nikki. We started with some water with EXTRA lemon, and an iced tea.
For appetizers We tried a small basket of their beer battered onion rings, beer battered french fries, the bacon wrapped Scallops and the crab stuffed mushroom caps.
The onion rings were crisp on the outside and the large slices of onion were tasty. The fries, looked more like a frozen fries we get at a Jack in the Box… Did not look freshly made at all, but were crisp and tasted good.

The bacon wrapped scallops were kinda chewy, the bacon was crisp, but did look a little over cooked.
The crab stuffed mushrooms, were drenched in melted cheese, and frankly, none of us ever tasted any crab.

We ordered a cup of Butler New England Clam Chowder, the Perch sandwich and a Cherry Chicken and Walnut salad.

The soup and salad were both good, the Perch was a little over fried/cooked, dry and mostly tasted like corn meal with not much fish flavor.

Some of our party had been to The Butler numerous times before and said that this was not one of the finer days they had dined there.

Nikki took good care for us. Thanks

RistoranteAllegria.com -Napa, CA. 707-254-8006

The girls, on their girls weekend in Napa, needed a place to eat Saturday night…..no reservations though. We took an Uber to Downtown Napa and after one block we found delicious aromas coming from Ristorante Allegria. It was going to be a 2 hour wait for a table, which indicates a good restaurant, so we put our name in and sat at the bar. We brought a bottle of Twomey 2010 Merlot had our bartender, who was very accommodating, open it for us. We enjoyed our wine and ordered Calamari Fritti while we waited. After only an hour wait they seated us and our waitress Terri greeted us with excitement–she was reminded of her favourite girls weekend. Another bottle of Merlot –Coppola 2012 was ordered. J had Wild Mushroom Ravioll (it had no i, a misspell on the menu which made us laugh), she said it was superb –R kept sneaking some, which she liked better than her Gnocchi Al Pesto with a sauce that was a bit too heavy. M had the Linguine Frutti Di Mare. — a nice amount of fish, the sauce had a nice kick and she cleaned her plate! I had the Pappardelle Allo Zafferano which was amazing! A single serving of Vanilla Bean Gelato and four spoons for dessert…..a nice finish! We all agree it was 4 stars and would be recommended!!!!

Located on Highway 9 in Felton, Ca. The Cowboy Bar & Grill has been a local staple for years. Food is awesome. Stop in and enjoy. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Located on the main drive through downtown St Helena, Ca. Is Gillwoods Cafe. It’s only open 7am to 3pm. The breakfast is marvelous. Today we got seated in the back dining room and was told Nancy Pelosi was just sitting at our table!!!!!!! We have been here many times. Today we’re having the country fried steak n eggs with potatoes and toast. Gillwoods scramble w/ bacon, tomato, mushrooms, chives, cheese. Breakfast skillet w/ Italian sausage, sautéed potatoes, onions, tomato topped with melted cheddar and jack cheese, poached egg, toast. French toast w/ fresh strawberries and side of applewood smoked bacon. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast.

Vito’s Trattoria 90 Skyport Dr. San Jose, Ca. 408-453-1000
Myvitos.com

I went to Vito’s with a long time friend a few months ago and had the Tortellini Carbonara. DELICIOUS,,,,,,,,, I returned tonight to try something else. We ordered drinks and they brought us fresh warm bread with a plate of olive oil and balsamic vinegar….yummmm. I ordered the Caesar Salad with anchovies for a starter. Very nice. My main course was the Vitello alla Picatta. It was so tender, it cut through like butter. The vegetables were perfectly steamed. My friend had the “Baseball”cut Top Sirloin with the peppercorn sauce. A mixed green salad with oil and vinegar, tortellini with marinara sauce and steamed vegetables.

We had an Apple crisp with vanilla gelato and a spumoni for dessert.

The atmosphere is pleasant, the wait staff extremely attentive. I highly recommend Vito’s Trattoria to anyone visiting San Jose, Ca.

My only issue is their sign out front on the street side. I’ve driven past this place for years and it reads: Vito’s New York Pizza and Trattoria.
Frankly, the location of the Restaurant around the other shops ,,, I always assumed it was just a pizza joint. I WAS WRONG …
This place ROCKS… It’s very elegant, great ambience, and fabulous service.

The Kitchen. 1530 16th. Street downtown Denver, Co. 80202. 303-623-3127

Ten of us embarked down 16th Street mall to our dinner reservation at “The Kitchen” restaurant. We were in town for a convention site survey and Trystin, our server, did an outstanding job. We ordered a variety of white & red wines, tried the smokey parsley margarita…(very good, but different) and of course mixed drinks. We ordered the Collio Pinot Gregio, red was Italian 2009 Vietti Langhe Nebbiolo . Our appetizer was the Grand Seafood Platter with lobster, oysters, chilled smoked mussels, littleneck clams & king crab legs. For salads we tried the Escarole salad, roasted organic beet salad, crispy pig ears, marinated white runner beans and peppers, The Kitchen Tomato soup, sourdough French bread with butter and coarse salt……… NO COMPLAINTS SO FAR. !!!!!!!!!

For dinner we had a variety of their menu, trying and sampling all the fare and passing plates so everyone could enjoy. Everything was Delicious….

For Dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee pudding with vanilla bean gelato , potde chocolate, lemon tart….yummmm very very very. Good.

Our only ,,,,, complaint,,,,,,, if we wished to call it that,,, was that the meal took almost 3 hours on a Thursday night in a half empty restaurant. We weren’t rushed for time and the restaurant didn’t need our table so they didn’t rush us out of the place. The service, wait staff, chefs & management were extremely attentive to group, keeping our water always filled, wine and drinks being served, and the food coming out of “THE KITCHEN”

And YES, We will be going back…..

It was a lazy afternoon and wanted to just find a nice burger… I ask around and was told go to Ketch Joanne. 2 of us arrived about 2:30pm The place was half empty due to the lull between lunch and dinner, but was still busy. We ordered 2 bloody mary’s, an Ortega chili and cheese burger, a ruben on rye, garlic fries and onion rings.
All was nicely prepared, burger was very very tasty, fries were crisp on outside and soft inside. Just the right amount of garlic….yum
The Ruben was toasted and delicious. The onion rings were REAL onion rings and crisp…perfect.
Also, my water glass NEVER got empty. The staff took great care of us. !!!!!!
This place on the wharf has lots of character and a good find. Next time you’re in Half Moon Bay………. Enjoy it…..
